Governments, in the previous decades of politics in Pakistan, have remained engaged in less performance and more show off. They did remain in front of media cameras rather than actually marking performance in respective problematic and challenging areas of country's economy and basic facilities for the masses.
Fortunately, this is not the case today. Since he assumed the position of Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, has kept himself somehow aloof from media. He has avoided to be in front of the camera without reason. Not only that, he has challenged the unsuitable tradition of government giving media channels millions and millions of rupees to air the advertisements on performance of government. This move of new Prime Minister is surely commendable.
No political leader can be assumed to be showing actual performance who always boosts about it in front of Television cameras. This tradition has been rightly broken. Today, in Pakistan, at least we have a government that is trying to bring the country out of crisis; that is trying to lead it towards the path of development and prosperity. Hopefully, it will succeed in this mission provided that, the similar trend of effort for reforms is continued.
